I'm looking to either start a band or put together an informal group to jam with on a regular basis. I've played guitar for seven years, electric for two years. Saxophone (alto, tenor and bari) from 5th- 12th grade. Trombone 11th and 12th grade. Been awhile for those but I could pick them back up. I was in every conceivable school band and competed at the state level with concert band, a sax quartet, a brass trio, and solo on the trombone. I have a lot of experience on stage, big and small, from high school but since then I have been in one rock-ish band a couple years ago and we did two shows at a bar in my native Ohio. The music I want to make can only be born from a group of people resonating on the same level, not just creatively but in passion and mindset as well. I want a group of band mates that are also my best friends. A group who can freely express themselves and share ideas and criticism openly. A group that has drinks after practice. A group that would jump at the opportunity to drop everything and tour the country at whatever cost- smelly van and all. A group who gives each other chills when we're just jamming. Ya know, music you really FEEL. And if we're all feelin' it and being honest with ourselves, the people who feel it too will be there. I don't care about "making it". I don't care about multi-million dollar contracts. I don't care about the rockstar lifestyle. What I DO care about is sharing my passion with good people and spreading the love as far and wide as possible. I may not be the most technical, professional musician, but this is what I want to do and I know I have the means and heart to do it. My goal is to play multiple shows this summer, small bar stuff, open mic and what not, and move on to festivals and bigger crowds by Summer 2016 with a full length conceptual album cut before then.
