Did usual touring, hard rock in 60's and 70's. Got married, etc. and gave it up for over 30 years. New technology took some getting used to and frankly miss the simplicity of old. Age and attitude has changed my preferences. I find lots of today's rock music to be repetitious and lacking in melody. Plugging into a Marshall stack at full volume just doesn't cut it anymore for me, Although nothing beats the rush of a live performance I love to sit in my studio, recording and arranging tracks, playing different instruments and slowly piecing together a new song. I would,consider forming a blues/rock band comprised of very competent musicians that would be open to writing and performing original material. Ideally, musicians should have studio experience. I would prefer to do venues that are relatively local.

Influences

Roy Buchanan, Kenny Wayne Shepard. Liked old Alvin Lee and Johnny Winter. I like lots of unknowns from Europe. Internet radio is great! I listened to lots of music of all genres and enjoy anything that is done well. My 4th album will be out this summer. I have an aversion to playing covers. I did that for too many years and frankly I view it as plagiarism. .

EQUIPMENT

I've lost track of how many guitars I have. Same with amps. I get a tone in my mind and work it out until I am satisfied with the sound..I use few plug-ins, preferring to come up with the right gear combination. I use Studio One DAW. My studio is pretty well equipped with all the needed instruments, guitars, bass, drums, and gizmos to make a decent recording. I'm addicted to YouTube instructional videos. If it wasn't for my wife, I'd probably live in my studio.
