Classically Trained Metal/Rock/Classic Rock Guitarist

ABOUT

I'm seeking an established gigging band in need of a guitarist.

I am a classically trained guitarist, e. g, G.I.T. program, e. g, metal, hard rock, classic rock, country, country rock and even jazz styles, etc., and San Joaquin Delta college Segovia classical music major program (no degree yet). I read notation and I've learned more than 75-songs in a month (because I can read music) to cover for a band who's guitar player walked off stage and quit. I covered ALL soloing instrumentation for this country/rock band.

Therefore, I've gigged throughout California and I have no issues with reliability as I'm drama free and expect the same in return.

My work ethic and expectations:

1. Though I drink alcohol in my home; I'm sober when I practice, when I rehearse, and when I gig. I only drink alcohol in my home and I've never had a DUI. I also NEVER touch illegal drugs, and though I'm ok with cannabis, I don't use it right now. Moreover, though cannabis truly improves my musical experiences; I know for a fact that liquor doesn't, so I don't mix liquor with my music.

2. I practice at home, not at rehearsal, I'm ready for the gig, I don't rehearse at a gig.

3. I'm a journeyman railroader by trade, thus I'm very punctual; you won't be waiting on me, nor do I offer excuses from a lack of preparedness.

Expectations:

No drama, e. g, "Dude, I'm fighting with my ol' lady, so the gig is off!"

No changes in payment, e. g, "I know I said you would be paid xxxx amount, BUT..."

Also, bandmembers/bandmates with substance abuse issues, or in sexual relationships with each other; no thanks, I'm not interested in joining Fleetwood Mac who screwed each other in every possible way.

Influences

Randy Rhoads, Ulrich Jon Roth and Joe Satriani are my main influences. Randy and Uli incorporated much of their classical training into their rock/metal music which is why I have chosen the same path. I also love Eric Clapton, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson. I am influenced by many classical guitar players as well, David Russel and John Williams just to name a couple.
