Started in grade school on recorder, violin, trumpet and baritone. Picked up an acoustic guitar at 10 years, then an electric bass guitar at 12 years and never looked back. Made a decent living at it after high school and college for a few years but disco was the death of me. Studied with Edwin "Ed" Kelly for 3 years in college.
Old school classic rock, soul, free funk, pop & jazz. No hip-hop, rap, country, hard-core or garage bands (with all due respect). Started in power trios, cover quartets, all-out Motown revues w/ horns, moved from S.F. and continued with wedding bands, bar bands, jam bands, party bands, even serious jazz players in the Poconos. Pro gear, pro attitude, decades of live & studio experience, no ego trips or bad habits. Can read from charts and the fake books, play fretless, some guitar, mandolin, back-up & lead vocals.
