Vocalist, Vocalist - Baritone, Vocalist - Tenor.

I am a solid drummer who began playing in performing bands in the early 70's. I played in several rock bands in the 70's and 80's, played in the Michigan State University Jazz Band for 4 years and have also played in the Dearborn (MI) Symphony. I am currently in a band playing "sophisticated classic rock" - Police, Steely Dan, Dire Straits, Talking Heads, Squeeze, The Cars, Peter Gabriel, Joe Jackson. We have a really great sound with a superb female vocalist - but might have room for a male vocalist at some point.

I am very commited to my current band, but always interested in meeting new musicians, jamming with good players or filling in as a substitute drummer if the gig is appropriate.

I enjoy classic rock, jazz, R&B, funk, fusion, blues - pretty much anything with an interesting groove. I have a wide range of influences - everything from The Who, Steely Dan & Tom Petty to The Meters to Brubeck & Herbie Hancock.

I own twelve vintage kits (10 Ludwig, 1 Slingerland and 1 Pearl) - 9 that have been restored to "like new" condition and three I am in process of restoring - 16 snare drums (mostly Ludwig) - plus 40 or more cymbals (Zildjian, Paiste, Sabian, UFIP, Meinl, Dream . . . . ).
