SEEKINGBand to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Other Percussion, Saxophone, Keyboard, Background Singer, Steel guitar.
I'm looking to join or form an alternative or classic rock cover band, originals too, rehearsing and/or gigging early weekday evenings 1-2 times per week, playing out 1-2 weekends per month. I have practice space in my house, including a drum set, or in the right setup I can chip in for rehearsal space. Mostly local gigs (no touring).

I like learning about new music from other bandmembers. My personal tastes are fairly eclectic but I shy away from metal, hard rock, and rap. My guitar playing is most influenced by artists like these:
Allman Brothers, Dire Straits, Tom Petty, Eric Clapton (Cream, Derek & Dominoes), Marshall Tucker Band, Johnny Cash, Santana, Credence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Miller Band, Jeff Beck, Bob Dylan, Eagles, Beatles, Rolling Stones....
Fender Strat w/ low-noise pickups (can also do humbucker / Les Paul sounds). Fractal AxeFX II XL amp/effects - direct out to mixer and a separate out to a pair of Atomic CLR 1000W powered monitors and poles for stage monitoring. Can also run it self-contained in smaller venues where just the mics are on the PA. Other guitars: Taylor 12-string; Takamine classical (nylon string) with upgraded CoolTube preamp; 1960s Yahama steel string.
Just bought a PDP-5 drumset with kickpedal and hi-hat and a few cymbals to make it easier to practice at my place with no back-and-forth of the drummer's personal set.
Linux-based audio recording setup. Some MIDI nerd-toys.
