I was the vocalist for the blues band, Marshal Law for six years. We received local recogintion as we were SAMMIE nominees in 2004 (a local music award in Sacramento, California) in the R&B category. We represented the Sacramento Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn., in 2000. The band folded in 2005. I formed a new band, Marshal Wilkerson & Smoked Sugar. We have been playing regularly since. We do public gigs, private gigs and touring. We recently recorded our first cd. I am currently looking for original music by local artists. I want to put together one set of my show which is dedicated to performing the music of local or area artists.
