ABOUT

Guitarist/mandolinist/bassist/songwriter with a day job. In my early 40's with a family/solid career, so not looking to be "big/famous/tour", but realistic about writing and playing music.

Music is a big part of my life. I've been playing over twenty five years, and I sing what I write too. I'm not the best, but I know enough to hold my own, and I'm grateful for the experiences that have got me to now. Guitar and mandolin are my main instruments, I have a rudimentary bass rig and experience, and I dabble in other stringed instruments.

No cover bands, just doesn't interest me. I don't mind playing some covers, just don't want to only play covers. I'm also not really a hired gun sort of player. I don't mind the accompanyist gig, but if you want me onboard, it's as a contributing member and not just on the payroll. I don't have substance issues and don't partake in anything but life. Whatever you do, just respect me and my choices.

Feel free to get ahold of me at runfromthunder at geemail, or give me a call at two five three two three seven four two nine nine.

Thank you for taking the time to listen and read this far. May we all find what we need.

***COVID UPDATE for 2023***
Interestingly enough, I have had a lot more musicians reaching out to me now. While I am fully vaccinated, my spouse is immunocompromised and we have a toddler, so I am not interested in any meetup opportunities at this time. I'll talk shop, but if you're looking for someone as a permanent member or to come out and audition, until this is removed from my profile, I'm not your guy.
And even when this is removed, I am still not interested in your cover band. I respect the talent it takes to know these songs inside and out and match tones and notes to create the experience for the listener, but that's just not me. Thanks.
Finally, I was updating this monthly, but I am spending the remainder of this year focused on ME and my health, so that will be keeping me away from music in a live/collaborative fashion.
So again, more than willing to talk shop, more than willing to remotely collaborate should the time fit, but I'm likely not going to be your utility player for your band or in any situation to join/work with a band or other musicians in a live in-person situation for 2023, unless it's the perfect situation. Thanks for the understanding.
