ADIAN “FLASHY” JAMES

Born and raised in the Caribbean, on the Grenadine Island of Bequia in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. His childhood days were greatly influenced by music. His father Elroy James AKA “Flash” was a guitarist and vocalist, who competed in the Bequia calypso competitions and was crowned calypso king twice as much than anyone on the island.

Adian followed in his father's footsteps: he was a member of the Lower Bay Primary School Choir, and there he learned how to play the cuatro and the guitar. He also took part in the Bequia annual junior calypso competitions while in school. In the 1991 St.Vincent and the Grenadines music festival, he came out on top of the under 16 Boys solo singing group. At the age of 13 he toured Ontario, and other parts of Canada, singing and playing at different churches with a five-man singing group called “The Bequia Diamonds.”

Adian graduated from the Bequia Anglican High School at the age of 16 and got his first paying gig with Carnival Cruise Lines in November 1995 as part of the Calypso band Kooshall. In 2003 he went solo covering today's top 40, 70's and 80's Disco, Rock, R&B, Reggae and Soca. He released his first Solo album “Pure Love” in the fall of 2005.

Music runs in his blood, introduced and influenced by his father, Adian AKA “Flashy” remains devoted to his passion for music and it's a dream to be playing, singing and performing for all who catches his live performances.
