I am primarily a jazz/blues saxophonist, and I have been playing and singing professionally for 46 years. I have performed in rock groups, horn bands, big band jazz ensembles and concert band. I am a former Air Force musician, and I retired in 2004 after serving 21 years in service. I am known as a very good lead alto player, tenor saxophonist as well as soprano sax. My forte is studio work and sight reading. I have also sung lead and background vocals in various groups since 1976. I can sing jazz standards, but am best known for singing classic and southern rock. I am looking for a band of serious musicians that want to gig around the San Antonio area about 4-6 times a month. Not into the 3-5 night a week scene anymore as I have been there and done that. A private party band, festival and fair bands is what I would like to play in if possible, but not opposed to playing the occasional club. I have lived here in San Antonio now for just over a year and a half and am looking to up my gig count. I am known as a personable, outgoing individual who is a people person. Serious inquiries only.
