ABOUT

Age of Ashram was formed in early 2010 by Corey, Blake, Brant, and Greg. After years of jamming and learning their instruments, they decided to begin writing formal songs. "Uprising" was the spark that ignited it all, and the riffs kept coming and kept getting better and better. By the grace of Odin, they picked up Keegan Macy, former vocalist for Accora, in April 2010. Keegan brought a new level of intensity, creativity, and passion for entertainment that fit perfectly with the band, and was exactly what they needed to start writing serious music. They are currently playing local shows in the Baton Rouge area and working on their 12th and 13th songs. Their goals are to professionally record an EP this summer, and schedule a regional tour.

Age of Ashram is a compilation of each of our own personal styles and tastes, ranging from old-school thrash, to black metal, and hardcore. Our inspiration comes from the fires within - the daily struggles and battles that define who we are. We strive to write songs that challenge us as musicians, and we're getting stronger and faster as each day passes. Our true passion is playing live, thrashing with the crowd and leaving everything we've got out on that stage.
