About
I'm a bass player who wants to start a band. I've answered ads, looked around and the bands I've found all lack the spark, the fun I'm looking for. I wouldn't be against joining a band that had that spark, but I've decided it's going to be easier to start from scratch.
I know there's a female vocalist out there who knows what I'm talking about and wants to get out and playing right now.
And a drummer.
And a guitarist.
These are people who have the musicianship to learn the songs with a minimum of rehearsal and fuss. They can learn new songs fast enough to keep things exciting and fresh and can put their stamp on the songs. They understand that it's not important to sound like the record, but it is important to sound good.
These are all people who jump in and help get the non-musical work that needs to get done in the band. Booking, preparing demos, printing and distributing flyers, building a website. They understand that democracy in a band means everybody pitching in more than everybody voting on every decision.
These are people who can goof-off with purpose. They look for opportunities to add a little sparkle to performances. They understand that creativity doesn't end when the song is written, it's in the performance too.
These are people who take care of business. They have transportation. They have equipment. They are responsible about being on time and in shape for rehearsals and performances. They spend the time on their own learning the songs so we don't waste time in rehearsal.
Are you one of the people I'm looking for? I look forward to hearing from you.

Influences
Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Pretenders, Wilson Pickett, Aerosmith, and on and on and on.
Equipment List
Basses, amps, speakers and PA's. Yep, I got 'em. Several of each.
My main bass is a Carvin LB-5W. I play a five string mainly so I can easily transpose songs that would otherwise require that I tune down.
My primary amp is a GK700RB with one of two SWR cabinets. A 2x10 by preference, but I have a 6x10 when I need it.
