About
My name is Adam and the skinny version is if a day goes by that I don't play drums I feel like something is missing or gone horribly wrong.
Took private drum lessons from age 8 to 18 then moved out to Arizona for college and graduated. I've played in quite a few bands out here in a variety of styles from calypso to heavy metal. I'm available as a hired gun for studio work as well as drum editing and mixing.
I play rock, funk, & alternative mostly but like everything but country. I started with classical, jazz, and latin. Single and double bass. I'm not the greatest vocalist but taking lessons soon. Without sheet music or a frame of reference if you said "just play something" I would probably sound like Chad Smith from chili peppers as my free form style is kind of a funk rock.
Right now I'm playing drums for these local bands:
Dung Heep - www.dungheep.com
Dream Doll Disaster - www.dreamdolldisaster.com
Look for Dung Heep's second album around Christmas 2012!
Influences
Too many to list. Top ten recently might be Breaking Benjamin, Deftones, Tantric, Evans Blue, Volbeat, Primus, Imelda May, Juno Reactor, Straight Line Stitch, & Apocalyptica.
My idols are John Bonham, Tim Alexander, Neil Peart, Dennis Chambers, and Abe Cunningham.
