About

At the age of 13 she made her first appearance on Bourbon St., with a band who lead guitarist was her grandfather Larry Santana. From that show she made special appearances in just about every club that would allow her. She formed her own band and performed at many clubs around New Orleans, such as Tricou House, The Blues Club, Sing Sing, Red Cats, Mardi Gras Club, The New Orleans House of Blues, and many more. In 1996-99 She Volunteered as a Team Member for the Mayors Team of New Orleans Under Mayor Mark Morial. She Received An award for outstanding service to the Mayors team working to keep kids, Kids. In 1997-03 She volunteered at another program of the same Nature called S.t.e.p. Program And Received the same Award.
In 2005 she performed her Last Show Before hurricane Katrina. Alektra and her daughter along with many others went through the suffering in the New Orleans Superdome. By the graces she and her daughter made it through, and they then moved to Houston, TX. In 2007, she moved to the state Florida and she performed for big events such as the Boynton Beach “Salute to Independents,” 4th of July Celebration. Also weddings at “The Breakers West Country Club.” Alektra also performed at locale club such as “John Bull English Pub” in West Palm Beach and the late “Johnny Longboats” in Singer Island.
