Alex Styers grew up in Arlington Texas, where he decided to ultimately play the Saxophone. A graduate of Lamar High School, Alex was one of the top Saxophonists in his class. He sat at the top of the Jazz Band, and performed several concerts with them.
Upon graduation in 2001, Alex moved up to Denton, Texas. An alumnus of the University of North Texas in 2006, Alex received a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts, and an Associate Degree in Spanish. While there, Alex perfected his abilities on the Soprano, Alto, and Tenor Saxophones, Flute, and EWI, and also played with several local projects.

Other professional credits include: Alumni Member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America (Gamma Theta Chapter- Univ. North Texas- 2001-2006) Local DFW Groups: Melofonic, A.T.O.C (A Touch of Class), Yellowbelly, 360*North, CasaNovaLive Band, E.M.V (Enormous Magic Verb) and others. Scot Cameron's Sound of Praise Album on DVD STAND 2004- True Love Waits convention- performed for an audience of about 10,000 people.
