I am seasoned and serious player having played thousands of shows touring the USA and Asia.
Originally from Chicago. I read music (notes and chord charts). Experienced in the studio and live audiences playing venues from hole in the wall clubs, supper clubs, to concert stages and everything in between.
I am the type of player who shows up on time or early to rehearsal ready to go.
I have a business and professional attitude, no bad habits and I am NOT a Prima-Donna
But I do have a very twisted sense of humor. I don't take myself seriously, but I do take the music business seriously.
I have been been out of playing for a while and want to get back into it. At this time money is not the object. Finding happiness playing good music with good players is.
I like to play Jazz, Jazz Rock/Jazz Fusion, Latin Fusion, Blues, Soca, Funk (Brothers Johnson, Sly, etc.), Soul (60s 70's), Otis Spann type stuff... Basically anything with a powerful groove/beat, that's melodic, played with feeling and allows freedom to improvise -- the musicians make the band. I'm not a shredder, or hard rocker, or country , or country rock... If you are looking for that type of player, I'm not your guitarist. If you want someone who can improvise, play melodic, powerful searing lead and syncopated rhythm I'm your guitarist. I'm interested in either joining or forming a band to play locally, and record. Would consider touring if the situation was right.
