Almost Human, an established, all-original heavy metal band based out of the Germantown MD area, is currently seeking a new bassist. The band plays music in the style of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Killswitch Engage, etc. Essentially, the band is a classic heavy metal band with some modern influence tossed in.

The band has been around for a year and played in numerous venues in the MD/VA/DC area, including the Rock N' Roll Hotel in DC, JAXX Niteclub, TT Reynolds, Broad Street Tavern, Brass Monkey, etc. Writing is currently taking place for the first full length album to be recorded in the studio in the fall. The band also currently has an opening slot for THERION (Nuclear Blast Records) at Jaxx on Nov 2.

Currently the band practices twice a week during weekdays in the evening and typically plays gigs 2-4 times a month depending on venue, schedules, etc. The band is a serious hobby for everyone involved. All of the band members have been playing for approximately 10+ years, are in their late 20's to mid-30's, and own countless dollars worth of professional gear (Mesa Boogie, Splawn, Pearl, etc).

The bassist that would fit in with the band would ideally come from a similar metal background, enjoy playing heavy music, and be dedicated to a degree of playing and practicing consistently. The band is comprised of laid back, easy going guys who like to have a good time and play good music...and the bassist is expected to be the same. Must be 21+ years old. Drinking is fine (as we all do!), but no drugs please.
