About
I am a professional musician who lives in Green Bay, WI. I recently finished a tour with the Army Band where I played flute, piano, guitar, and was a vocalist for several ensembles. Flute and vocals are my two main instruments with flute being my strongest.
Influences
I studied flute with a college professor from the ages of 13 til I was 22. During that time I studied primarily with a professor in Oshkosh, and then another, for a year, from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. I am classically trained, and my influences on flute are mainly James Galway, Jean-Pierre Rampal, and Marcel Moyse. In high school I started to take up jazz and took quite an enjoyment to this art form. I can improvise and use a lot of modern flute techniques while playing (such as vocalizing, flutter tounging, alternate fingerings). Vocal-wise my influences range from singers like Buble, Sinatra, and Bennett, to Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Breaking Benjamin, and many other modern artists.
