I'm a singer/songwriter with lots of material ready to be nailed down with a band to start gigging. The main bones of the band I have in mind are guitar, percussion and bass, but I'd love to include cello, keys and some extra strings and brass. Vocal harmonies are a huge plus, too!
My writing style is a blend of folk and blues (heavily influenced by Paul Simon, Laura Marling and John Lennon). I also love to cover blues, rock and even some jazz tunes. My vocal style is a combination of Etta James and Laura Marling. I can sound raw or refined, depending on what the song calls for. Janis Joplin and Bette Midler got it right in pouring their heart and souls into each song.
As a side project, I want to start singing in a big band again. I'd love to join a swing band with a modern twist: especially Electro-swing.
