About
At AG&B we offer an uncommon selection of gear in an unparalleled atmosphere. We are actually four stores in one: shop American Guitar & Band for a range of Fender, Gibson, and Taylor guitars as well all related gear, plus sales and rental of percussion and band instruments; browse the in-store American Guitar Boutique for limited edition, custom, and hand-selected vintage guitars, basses, and amplifiers; visit our on-site repair shop for service and repairs on all instruments; and take music lessons, held in one of ten state-of the art classrooms.
Influences
We combine the best quality instruments at every price range together with the most highly trained sales, teaching, and repair staff, all of whom have solid industry and academic credentials. Our classrooms are themed after local moments in Minnesota music history, each featuring photographs from the Minnesota Historical Society. We also host a permanent exhibition of ephemera from Minneapolis´ famed First Avenue, including their retired front door cash register, which rests at our in-house coffee bar.
Members Of Band
AG&B is family-owned with an emphasis on excellent customer service and amenities, including a gratis coffee lounge (with our own organic, music-themed roasts and plasma TV screening music documentaries), a store dog, and vintage furniture collected from estates around the country. Whether it is a musician on tour looking for a rare guitar or a parent bringing their child in for lessons for the first time, the shared reaction is "I´ve never been in a store like this." We invite you to contact us with any questions regarding our inventory and services, and hope that your next music lesson, gear for your next gig, or the search for your next "dream" guitar brings you to our shop.
