About
New singer songwriter for adult contemporary christian music... often grassroots crossover as well. Not too much production. I am a learning guitarist and singer, and I've played piano for many years. I am being trained with Brett Manning vocal studios and I take lessons from Shelby Rollins via skype, from out of Nashville. I have come a long way, vocally, and can see a bright future ahead with my singing. My best asset is that I tend to write very well and intend to record, produce and mix out my first album by spring of 2013; but am looking to gig out at flat rates right now, to other christian musicians in the area, who are better musicians than I am...for my CD. I am also willing to gig out for others, so as to raise some income into this deal somehow. I am not a part of the Wilmington musician's union because we are military and move often. We would never make any headway if we joined every union on our miltiary travels. Still, my husband is an attorney with the USMC, hence a JAG and I am a former nurse. We are both christians, more importantly, so we keep everything on the up and up. If you are interested in gigging out for some extra cash, in the area my rate would be $50/hour of solid time (not including set-up time break-down, hanging out, chatting etc.)... if we worked together,..I'd be happy to name you on my CD label as studio musician for me. I hope to start touring with the debut album by the summer of '13... but we'll see. I'm involved in lots of practicing, and learning software right now. I have a tiny studio in my home right now, but will pay just a bit extra if you have your own studio that you prefer to use it,...particularly for drums, as long as you send me the tracks in a WAV version and I can do the editing, mixing, etc. I reserve all rights and royalty rights/payments on my albums, as it is my intention to do all the writing,..including the arrangements for instrumentalists. So, just making sure this is written here to be clear. Thanks so much and hope that I can continue to learn and do!
