ABOUT

**CURRENTLY SEEKING KEYS/SYNTH FOR 90s ROCK TRIBUTE PROJECTS

Hello, I'm Andrea! I'm the former lead singer for Rain On The Aftermath in San Antonio, TX (over 10 years) and current female Vocalist for Soul Grammar.

A BIT ABOUT ME:
I have been singing and performing since I was 11, and gigging at bars, festivals, and large venues since I was old enough to drink (haha). I am classically trained (I was a music major for vocal performance and composition) and have accomplished a lot in my career. As a rock artist I have released a full length album and single (latter under an independent label that is sister to Viacom which sent our digitally music worldwide); opened for National Acts such as Flyleaf, Mushroomhead, Tantric, Trapt, Hawthorne Heights, and more; opened for international touring acts from both Mexico and the UK; been interviewed on terrestrial and internet radio; recorded background vocals in studio for David Kauffman’s contemporary Christian album Follow Me under the expertise recording of Grammy award winning audio engineer Marious Perron; and much more. Pretty much what I haven’t done is toured in the US and won a Grammy myself! (Yet) ???? There’s always time. As a classical musician I have performed at a Gala event to honor the worldwide debut of the opera Gods Of Mischief and it’s composer; played chorus, supporting, and lead roles in many musicals and operas, and toured through Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic with both a concert choir and a touring production of Bründibar.

I am a fun loving, high-energy performer (musician and actress with some dancing ability) with experience in rock, jazz, country, musical theater, and classical (opera, art song, contemporary, 20th century) music. Although I am only 5 feet tall, I enjoy the limelight and have great stage presence. I love performing music for just that: THE LOVE OF MUSIC. I am a hard worker when it comes to music, however I also enjoy having a good time (I love to party with the band!) and often find myself on the music scene supporting local bands. I also plan on learning how to operate a soundboard and learn more about music equipment and technology.

I grew up with rock and country music, and enjoy performing these genres live. I have been taking voice lessons since the age of 11 and have dabbled in repertoire for both mezzo-sopranos and subrette. I have somewhat of a large range: G3 (Eb3 or F3 on good health days) to C6 (D6 is possible, however I am still working on a more resonant sound). Some stage experience includes the chorus for South Pacific and Die Fledermaus, Brundibar (Baker), Hansel in Humperdink's Hansel and Gretel, The Taffetas (added entertainment as a jinglette and lead understudy), The Magic Flute (Third Spirit), HONK! (Fluff), Dorabella in selected scenes from Cosi Fan Tutti, Babe Secoli, Heather Lamb, Candy Cottingham, and four other characters in ensemble and solo numbers in the production WORKING, and one of the Cercatrice in Suor Angelica. I can act, and I also have some dancing abilities (I'm not a pro, but I can imitate and execute some really challenging maneuvers). I have a background in composition and piano, however I consider voice to be my main instrument, no matter what the genre. I consider myself an expert more for dedication than execution, however I am very experienced and very well trained.

Oh, and P.S......I'm also available for classical and musical theater functions too...Need a mezzo? Subrette? Actress? Soprano/alto in the choir or production chorus? I'm flexible!

Influences

I would relate my rock vocal influences to Gwen Stefani, Shirley Manson and Delores O'Riordan, however I pick and choose from multiple singers and groups. My country influence leans more towards Patsy Cline, Lorrie Morgan, and Trisha Yearwood. Once again, I also pick and choose for this genre. As for classical and musical theater, my voice is unique. I can sing almost anything you throw at me, although my preference is rock (no screaming).

EQUIPMENT

I bring my own mic, cables, and stand. Also have iPhone/iPad attachments for stand. Sometimes I have in-ears available, but I usually share these with the fiancé (who is a phenomenal guitarist). Together he and I boast a small PA and light setup.
