ABOUT

ive been playing for over 10 years, and am completely self-taught. i dabble in all forms blues, whether its attemping delta blues or slowhand, again im self-taught so most of the knowledge and theoretical ideas i have i obtained through trial and error. i can play by ear, 99% of the covers i know are self-taught, or else i just picked it up watching my buddies play on their guitars. although i know covers, they are only for fun, i feel its a waste of time to try and play something someone else played. i understand music is finite, but i feel my time should be more dedicated to sh*t i can call mine as opposed to learning covers. i dont really have the money to pay to contact people on here, but you can find me on under the name andrew emit schabbing.

EQUIPMENT

i use loopers and whatnot for performance due to the fact that im not in a band-format yet, but ill still incorperate the looper to thicken the sound and its a pretty bitchen practice tool. im playing a martin stinger (which is a 80's strat-copy) through my rp-355, then to my vox pathfinder. so basically im working with the bare minimum, but the sounds im able to create with that are endless. i cannot really explain my sound so im gong to be adding the link to my youtube channel, although keep in mind that these clips are probably 3 years old and the amount of progress ive made in said time has been phenomenal.

this is a jazz/blues improv i did recently. i had to do a rough copy to see if the mic i was using would be efficient with my set up. i had to make a rough copy and exaggerate certain harmonics and my picking attack to see if it would warp, as i dont have a way to listen to the recording live and make mic adjustments on the fly. this, by no means, is meant to be an example of my playing. it is me playing, but not in the style i prefer. the link is what follows:
