I am a songwriter and musician (singer, multi-instrumentalist) who has just started playing gigs again after a long hiatus. For the past six months I've been doing occasional shows with a semi-regular group of collaborators and now I'm looking to add a rhythm section, solidify the make-up of the band and take it to the next level by gigging regularly.

I have a show booked at Sullivan Hall for January 26th and I'm using the occasion to bring in new players. I've been doing short sets that combine solo and full band, but now I want to switch over to all full band. The music is rock, pretty straight-up, but (I've been told) with it's own distinctive style; Neil Young meets Elvis Costello, with a bit of Toots and the Maytals thrown in? Even with the band in it's current, somewhat raw state, I've had very good responses, so I am confident that with a solid line-up and some practice, good gigs will be had. The kind of musicians I'm looking for are strong, solid players with a professional attitude who also know how to have fun with it. I want collaborators who are driven more by the love of music than by dreams of glory, but who have the wherewithal to let glory in should she come calling.
