I am looking (primarily) for bass, drums, guitar, vox to make rock and roll music with. I would definitely enjoy keys, trumpet, or strings in the mix, too, but they're non-essential. I play guitar and sing, and dabble in bass and keys.
I'm more interested in finding people to write & record with than play live shows with (for now).
Not metal, not genre punk. But I do like listening to them, as well as a lot of other stuff.
I've had a lot of bad influences, so here are the few good ones:
Elvis Costello, Calexico, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, PJ Harvey, Cracker (& late Camper Van Beethoven) the Toadies, Cake, the Smithereens, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Electric guitar: Gretsch hollowbody, Ibanez solid-body
Vox ToneLab played through a monitor (well, practice amp)... this'll probably be an AC-30 very soon.
Bass guitar: Crappy Ibanez bass, GK head & 2x10 cabinet. Wouldn't take it to a studio, but it gets the job done I guess.
Misc: SM-57 mic, bigass upright piano :), non-giggable classical guitar, and various borrowed (my roommate's, not for lending) recording gear
