Hey hi! I'm a vocalist/musician in La Crosse looking for folks to collaborate with. My band, Fighting Nice, is on indefinite hiatus due to Life.

I have about five years of experience playing shows and recording on and off with Fighting Nice. I've had a musical dry spell the last year or two and I'm itching to get back into that world.

I have had some vocal training and been involved in other projects (such as this one [://radioreddit/songs/?song=deimos_phobos_(thehiggspotato)_jovian]). I have a more alto range but can pull off soprano as well.

I have a little experience with piano (six or so years of lessons) but never progressed far and am a little rusty. That said, it's a great tool for me to communicate musical ideas to someone. I also have a little experience with acoustic guitar. I know the basics and am improving bit by bit. .

Oh man, I'm awful at picking out just a few. I know, it's not as useful to throw out a bunch of artists, but there are just so many good ones and they all paint a picture.

First of all, core stuff, artists I keep coming back to: Metric, Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Miike Snow, Arcade Fire, St Vincent, and others.

Then there's the next tier - artists I find myself recommending: Caroline Rose, Rubblebucket, Gorillaz, Of Montreal, Cake, Tool, No Doubt, Andrew Bird, Aldous Harding, Meg Myers, Elliott Smith, Haley Heynderickx, Chico Buarque, Tuneyards, dodie, Feist, Bjork, Jorge Ben Jor, and so many more.

Then there are the vocal idols including, off the top of my head, Lianne La Havas, Meg Meyers, Heart, Sammy Rae, Billie Holiday, Sia.

I also have a very warm place in my heart for rock classics like Led Zeppelin, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Canned Heat, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc

I'm in search of more heavy music to dive into so if you have any recommendations, let me know! Tool was my gateway, and I mess with Deftones and Coheed and Cambria once in a while.
