I'm an experienced, multi-genre drummer, in the North -West side of Phoenix,,, and am hoping to find a few versatile, like-minded musicians for jamming with at my studio then possibly later doing a variety band start up project for local gigs a a couple times a month or more. Been playing Pro since the mid 70's. Cut a few albums, and toured w/road band for a few years after graduation,, Now I'm in my later mid 50's but look 40's, and am easy goin, dependable, hard working team player wanting to play some good (old, and new) dancin music, would enjoy a mix of rock covers, a little blues, some adult-alternative rock, and toss in a few country and jazz tunes just to be able please any crowd. Just wanting to first and foremost hve some fun then polish up at least 5 or 6 sets with some decent musicians, then gig locally as much as is comfortable, but still have fun doing so.
So u can see from all this info I've already "been there done that" but "still learning something new every day!",, lol . I have huge song lists but will learn any song that the band needs me to,,,,in return,, i wanna be able get my groove on at least a few times a night ,,, so if ur playing Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, and Johnny Cash all night long, with nothing from the last decade,, keep looking! LOL
If ur serious about yer music, at least semi-sober, and/or can keep ur sh*t together on stage without a lot of drama/BS,, then drop me a line and let's see where it goes,,, txt me at; 6oh2-4one3-thirty 6 ninety 9,,, NOTE: Yes I am a friend of prop 420 (when just jammin) but not a fiend...lol

Influences
Wow where to start? Was music major,,, schooled in theory, composition, and production, Started playing the trumpet in 4th grade, then played horn in Symphonic Band, Wind-Ensemble, and drummed for high-school's and university's stage and jazz bands too. put myself thru college playin music so I know when to lay back and when to go for it, with out a lot of un-necessary BS!
Listen to and play wide variety of stuff. Mostly rock, classic rock, alternative, R&B, I can play country, spent several years touring with a middle of the road country band. but don't normally listen to it now tho. Favorite listening ,,, Pink Floyd, Dave Mathews, Led Zep, Santana, Tom Petty,Clapton, CCR, Doors, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Nickle Back, Linkin Park and newer stuff too,,, my radio is pre-set to KUPD, KDKB, KLSX, KZZP, lol .Sorry but just havnt had much luck with finding serious country musicians lately but would be willing to play country, for $$ if for the right group,, and if ,,, u all got ur sh*t together ,,, just dont want to bust my ass so u can go get drunk for free and/or do all ur practicing on stage while doing "paid rehersals",,, been there done that and aint doin it again! LOL

EQUIPMENT
Large 12+ piece Pearl rack, dbl pedals, lots of cymbals, etc.,,,note,,, I can split set down to 5 piece size for smaller stages,, no problem. Have a 12 channel mixer and mono amp, as well as a smaller PA w/4 channel amp head, w/15" speakers, a few vocal mics, and lots of stands, 9 pc drum mic set, tons of cords and cables. My own mode of transporting all my gear and myself as well as nice secure practice studio for a band, I manage a large self-storage property here in Phoenix. so lots of room and no neighbors to bother.
