Barry White was born in Macon Georgia and reared in Detroit Michigan in a working class section of Wayne County. At the age of 12 he began his musical journey when he watched his friends older brother play and lead their family band in an R&B set. Barry went on from there to teach himself Drums. After a short time he found himself playing with Jazz musicians around the greater Detroit area. While yet still in High school, Barry was gigging full time with musicians that were three times his age and some even older.

Barry was heavily influence by the likes of Billy Cobbham , George Benson , Earl klugh, Jazz Crusaders, lsley Brothers, and Brother Johnson only to name a few. After graduating from Henry Ford High School, Barry joined the US Army where he continued his musical journey while serving in Europe. At this point in his musical journey he had taught himself other instrument to include the Guitar and bass Guitar as well as the keyboard.

Barry has won several musical awards for his musical abilities while playing with Speed Limits, a Jazz & Rhythm and Blues band in Ansbach , West Germany. Barry also won several awards and accolades for his participation in the US Army Worlds Finals competition on two occasions.

Barry has open for such major acts of likes of Jerald Daemon, Jean Carne with Confirmation, whiles a member of Just US an award wining Jazz & Variety Band.
