I play to suit the song - I am an active player, melodic, vocal following, bass drum tight. Some say I play too much, but I play (or don't play) what I hear should be there. My experiment now is with the new Hagstrom HB8 8 string bass. The experiment is to tune it in fifths instead of using the octave tuning, giving the bass an almost organ quality to it. I am available for studio work and live playing with other bands &/or live fill-in. I DO NOT read music, so chord structure maps & tabs are welcome.
