SEEKING
Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar.ABOUT
I'm a 52-year-old bassist with about 35 years' stage experience, pro gear, no drug or alcohol problems, and a good attitude. I can also sing backup (or lead, if it's within my limited range) and play some keys in a pinch. I've played in bands covering everything from the Black Crowes to Rush (as well as some original bands, though I've pretty much left that behind these days). I know a wide variety of classic rock, blues, and southern rock already, and I have a good ear for picking up new material. If appearance is crucial to you, you'll probably want to look elsewhere; to be blunt, I'm a fat, balding, middle-aged white dude. 8-) But if the music is your priority, I think I can give you what you need. Feel free to ping me at bschoner AT gmail DOT com if you'd like to chat.

Influences
Too many to list. While gigs mostly mean classic rock (from the '60s to the '00s), I cut my teeth on classic progressive rock (Rush, Yes, Jethro Tull), and enjoy modern progressive music as well (Porcupine Tree, Riverside). I also love good Southern rock (Allmans, Skynyrd), blues rock (ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan), jazz rock (Steely Dan, Blood Sweat & Tears), and a lot of stuff that's harder to classify (King's X, Eleven, Frank Zappa). Basically, if it's good and/or interesting, I'll probably dig it.
