I've been playing guitar since I was 16... I've been a Christian for about 6 years now. I'm 33 and working a regular job, wondering why I'm not a professional musician!
I've done a number of things, but now I've realized that, to quote Chariots of Fire, "I feel His joy" when I'm creating music. And it's time to make a real effort to do this professionally.
I can easily write the rhythm parts (melodic, rhythmic) to an entire new song in less than an hour, and I average a new one every couple days- I can sing, but I'm looking for a stronger vocalist (male or female), and ideally someone who likes to write lyrics. I've written some songs based 100% or close to it on Bible verses, but I'd like a collaborator.
I think from there, putting together a full band, practicing and getting a set together, perhaps for a worship situation (I'm not sure how Christian bands make it, come to think of it!) or special shows... would be next.
I also have put together more electronic music and can add that to the mix- if you're familiar with Delirious?, some of their music went that way.
