ABOUT

BearCat is looking for a Bassist, fiddle, and mandolin player to play songs that celebrate the timeless charm of old folk, old country, Americana, and bluegrass songs. This is how we approach the music that resonates with us, the old time way. Learn it, make it your own, and share with others.

We love infusing new life into beloved melodies while staying true to the authentic spirit that makes these genres so special. Picture yourself weaving intricate melodies with the mandolin or creating a solid rhythmic foundation with the upright bass. Together, we'll create a symphony of nostalgia and innovation.

Our band is all about pushing boundaries, exploring creative arrangements, and captivating audiences with our fresh interpretations. We believe in honoring the traditions while leaving room for individual expression and improvisation. If you're passionate about these genres and crave the excitement of collaborative performance, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. There is room for multi instrumentalists and vocalist to take the occasional lead on songs if so inclined.

Join us on this musical journey as we breathe new life into timeless, and in some cases, largely unknown classics. Together, we'll create magic on stage, move listeners with our heartfelt music, and forge unforgettable memories as a tight-knit musical family.

No drama, no nonsense, just good music played by, and for, good folks. We practice one time a week and plan to play regionally 1-2x a month.
