SEEKING
Band to Join, Drums, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Saxophone, Vocalist.ABOUT
Bassist/guitarist seeks rock'n'roll musicians/band. Mature, pro-attitude, plays in tune and well intonated, has good rhythm, good ear, knows basic music theory. I would be happy playing anything from rockin' blues to thrash metal, as long as it is tight - but I am probably most comfortable with hard rock and 80's metal. I would be especially excited about forming a "high energy rock'n'roll" band a la Hellacopters/MC5. I am very open to working -strictly professionally - with women, as long as we keep it rocking - no folky alternative crap, please!

Influences
My favorite bands: ZZ Top, AC/DC, Kiss - but I like a lot of different music, from Chopin to Dimebag to 'Priest to Arch Enemy to Pat Benatar to Testament to Benny Goodman. I do not like rap, disco, reggae or anything with synth pads. I want to begin with a repertoire of rockin' tributes and then add originals if they are good. I am down with original art and all that, but I want to be in a rockin' band, not be an accessory to someone else's mediocre artistic explorations. If you are capable of learning covers accurately, then you are ready to write your own. Otherwise, you are just using "I want to play original art" as a smokescreen to conceal your lack of ability - no offense, but that's what I have found to be true.
EQUIPMENT
I have my own good equipment and transportation. I am looking to have fun playing music, not just party, so basic musicality, mature attitudes and a pro approach to practice time is essential. I have a career, so if you need someone to go on tour I regretfully cannot, but if you want a solid bassist (or rhythm guitarist) to play out locally, I might be your man.
