ABOUT

As you can probably tell by the genres, instruments, and artist influences I have listed, I have very widespread musical tastes. I know, I seem all over the place. I kinda am, but I am 100% committed to my music. The first band I fell in absolute love with is Mumford and Sons, so my early songs imitate them. Now I'm starting to develop my own sound (very different) and branch away from solely folk music. I still enjoy that genre, but I also want to produce more indie, alternative, punk rock sounds, maybe even dabble in a little R&B. I've been told my voice is kind of "folky" though. My voice, however, is growing both in resonance and confidence. I'm theorized to be a mezzo, not really sure. Ideally, if I were to build my ideal band it would feature me, Jesse Rutherford, and Alicia Keyes. I like distinct voices but I also love to harmonize. I want to create a new sound and a new genre, though I sometimes like to revisit oldies for nostalgia and put a twist on them. I am indeed currently producing a mixtape (which I know you probably assume sucks but I assure you it's not what you expect. also, if you make good beats please hit me up) and an ep/lp/album. I have a friend that has Logic Pro and pretty decent recording equipment. I recently had to throw out my old album idea because the new stuff I've been writing these past months weren't cohesive. What I want more than anything is to be a successful artist or part of a successful band. I am, however, attending college in London in Fall 2014. So if I can't get the ball rolling in these next couple of months, at the very least I just want to get some gigs here in Austin while I can. I love collaborating with other artists who have similar musical tastes, and I'm totally open to try other genres, though preferably not Country or Heavy Metal. In truth, I'm a very nice person but a very weird musician. I (apparently) take music very seriously, but I also like to have a good time. I'm done relying on people who can't commit to practice. So this profile is a bit of a shot in the dark, but if you are a singer/musician around my age (18) and you want to collaborate (maybe even feature on the album because I do need more sound) and maybe do gigs together, then feel free to hit me up at beawolfmusic (dot) com.
