Hey! My name is Ben and I'm not quiet a pro musician (I didn't go to college yet to pursue this or anything), but I love to write and play music. I've written a lot of songs now, but all my songs are all me. I'd like to find some people to play my songs (and maybe other people's too) with me. It gets kinda old singing at church with my CD's of me playing guitar, brass, and vocals... it's like a band of "me's." :P

Anyway, I've been involved in music since 6th grade (which was around 2001). I started in the school band playing trumpet. Around 7th or 8th grade, my parents got me a keyboard. It was nice, but the one they bought me later during my freshman year was better. I was able to learn how songs were made and what all the names of the chords were and all. Then around my sophomore year, I got one of those Esteban Guitar Packages from HSN. Through those DVD's Esteban taught, I was able to play guitar. Esteban also had a great influence on me to write songs as well. When I became a senior, I learned how to play the french horn as well... that thing is tough! After I graduated, a guy from my church gave me (literally gave me... meaning free) a trombone in great shape! I taught myself to play it.

By the way, I'm a Christian and here lately, I've felt like God was calling me to be a singer (like He called my dad to preach). I've really tried singing, but I really hate my voice! People at my church seem to like it, but others online told me to get a new vocalist. So I don't know. This means if I have any of my songs with lyrics uploaded, expect to hear a "not so good" singer. :P But I do enjoy writing songs. That's a great talent of mine that's one of my favorites. :)

I always thought it would be neat to have a brass section in a band! Like maybe 4 trumpets, 2 french horns, 3 trombones, and a bass trombone. If not, I would settle with about 2 guitarists, a bass player, drummer, and a keyboard player (maybe 2). Singers as well. :)

LET ME SAY SOMETHING TO YOU BASS GUITAR PLAYERS!!!!! I'm getting ready to join a Christian band (contemporary) and we have got a lot of member already, but we are lacking a bass player! This is a neat opportunity to use my singing and instrument playing in a band, but we can't get a bass player to play bass for us! I don't know if this will work, but if you play bass and want to be in a Christian band, we could use you... but as of now, we're going to start sometime at the end of August without a bass player. But still, we can use one.
