Other Influences include "the classics" (Beatles, Zeppelin, Stones, Floyd, the Who), the best of 80s metal (Iron Maiden and old-school Metallica), Jazz-Fusion (Mahavishnu Orchestra, Al DiMeola), Seventies Hard Rock (Thin Lizzy, Queen, Rainbow), Southern Rock (Allman Brothers, Charlie Daniels, Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker), Old-School Prog (Frank Zappa, Yes, Uriah Heep, Crack the Sky, Bebop Deluxe), Funk (especially of the New Orleans variety), the heavier jam bands (Raq, the Breakfast), Power Metal (Avantasia, Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, Hammerfall, Sonata Arctica), and other progressive acts like the Mars Volta, Coheed and Cambria, and Dream Theater.
EQUIPMENT
I play a G&L Tribute S-500 through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, mic'd by a Sennheiser e609. I also have an SG that is set-up for slide playing and an Alvarez acoustic. I will be picking up a humbucking, more metal guitar sometime in the next few months.
