About
Big Mistake, CA formed in 2001 in Stockton, CA. The band played many shows around their hometown and surrounding cities, while independently releasing 2 CDs (Big Mistake self-titled and Turn Down the Bass). In 2003 however, the band split up, leaving Tim Smith(vocals and guitar) and Patrick Becknell(drums) to forge on with the help of then guitarist Daniel Marks. In the summer of 2003 Big Mistake, CA recorded their first instrumental album titled Berkeley Farms. After playing a few shows and house parties, Patrick left for college, leaving the line-up incomplete. In the years that would follow, Tim and Patrick would get together a few times a year to do one off house parties and continue writing songs. In 2007, Tim and Patrick both moved to Los Angeles to continue writing and playing music. Now it is 2008 and they are currently seeking a bass player to help complete the line up. From there Big Mistake, CA will continue to write, record and perform until they fu*king die.
