Singer/Frontman/Harp Player (and rhythm guitar if/when you need it) seeks professional, mature working band. I am 50-something with a few decades of experience. I specialize in blues/soul/old school R&B, but can also do jazz, country, some pop, oldies (no rap, metal, very hard rock, polka music, or anything brutally loud). I have a large repertoire of covers, many with my own arrangements, as well as quite a few recorded originals. I am a fast learner and can pick up your material quickly. I am always focused on good presentation, good at talking to the audience, pacing the show, keeping things moving, etc.
In the past decade, I have toured modestly in Europe, fronted my own band in Austin, TX, and recorded a couple of CDs on a small Texas label called AMI. The most recent was just released on March 22. You can hear samples on CDB (Billy Hamilton and The Lowriders/Pay Some Money). This CD is currently getting I-net airplay on blues stations in UK, Netherlands, Australia, and Spain. If you email me, I can send you mp3s, as well as links to web site and some You Tube videos of live shows.
I guarantee reliability, responsibility, and professionalism and expect the same. I approach music as a business and a job. I believe the band works so that the audience can party, not vice-versa. I am willing to rehearse as long as you have paying work on your calendar.
I live in Oakland County, Michigan. Please get in touch if you think we might be on the same page. Thanks!
