Black Angel has been a Rolling Stones style rock n roll band. We have had a number of different line ups but I have kept the band moving ahead whether it was in Los Angeles or Santa Barbara. We have played all the major Los Angeles clubs including The Roxy, B. B. King
's Blues Club, The Gig, The Coach House, SIR showcases, Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica pier, etc. Former band members include Audrey (Mrs. Ike) Turner and Ronnie Turner (son of Ike and Tina Turner). My song, "One Beer" was selected as the Song Of The Year for 2007 by Chuck Eddy, senior music editor of Billboard Magazine. The two Black Angel albums released in 2007, "O' California" and "O' Santa Barbara" were each ranked in the Top 30 albums of the year for 2007 by writers for Billboard Magazine and Rolling Stone magazine.
