EST. in 2006...and since then Blackmass Mafia has been blazin' down a path that very few travel. Blackmass Mafia could be described in different ways, Southern Metal, Southern Rock, Sludge, but the truest to thier heart is the genre they named themselves "REEFAGE", which is the best way to describe the aura and music that they create. At the forefront of Blackmass Mafia is "The Blackmass Godfather" himself Mikke Nugent a.k.a. "The Nuge", Mikke in 2006 created Blackmass Mafia and since has been thier chief songwriter, vocalist, and lead guitarist. Always with a Les Paul or Marshall layin' around, Mikke is always throwin' down some sort of buzzsawin' riffs or a shreddin' solo. 2008 brought Barry Lawhorne II (replacin' long time bassist Jesse Stakes), and his thunderous low end. Barry brings with him an uncontrolible will to play and write the truest music that he can find, and that has landed him in the world of Blackmass Mafia. In 2009 Shawn meister joined up, hot off the heels of his former band's breakup (Underbelly) he repeatedly contacted Mikke for the spot of rhythm guitarist. After a couple months Shawn came down to "The Compound" and joined the band. Shawn has been in the scene for years and with him he has all the stage presence and chops to fuk almost anyone up. !!!!!!!!!!!SUPPORT YU'R LOCAL ORIGINAL MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
