a very powerful front man and and bonified HELL RAISER! blaine odom picked up his first microphone when he was twelve years old. following his idols like: lynyrd skynyrd, bad company and blackfoot. but something was a little bit different about him from other singers. he also had a love for country. his country roots were from hank williams jr., david allen coe, johnny cash, merle haggard, and of course randy travis. he started out singing in the local clubs. then at 16 years old was taught his first chords on his guitar by his close friend greg jones (founder of quicksilver) he learned the song made famous by the eagles "take it easy" from there he knew he had a passion for music. went from clubs to clubs not even old enough to get in because of his age but still played on stage for them at that early age. one of the most memorable moments he recalls is playing in a club in s.c. when he was 16 years old the club owner asked him what was he drinking and blaine said "milk" and the club owner laughed and said " oh yeah i forgot you are not old enough to be in here now get your ass on stage before the cops come in ! " from there he joined the band quicksilver and they toured the south caroilna upstate. quicksilver lasted for about five years and they disbanded due to personality conflicts and women. he then left for the most popular band heartbeat where he met his good freind john bennett. john then taught him the beauty of three part harmony. john took him to the better parts of his music life. taught him harmony, cordination and perfection. he played with heartbeat for four years. and was signed on by miller brewing company to form quicksilver 2 which lasted for a solid two years. then from there played with a few georgia bands with former members from billy currington, and shiloh. now blaine resides in greenwood s.c. and continues to be the hell raising redneck guy your mama warned you about!
