I just moved to Louisville from Houston. We just moved into a house and I'm working on getting my drum cave setup. While I will need some catching-up-practice, I'm seriously ready to find some like minded people to play with, if they don't mind that I need a little time to get back into it.
28 year old male looking to play in a rock/hard rock band.
I'm married with two kids if that matters, but just so you know my wife supports my musical interests.
Just so I'm clear, I have been playing on and off since 1997, so about ten years. I have had no formal drum lessons, so I guess you would fit into the self-taught catagory.
I don't mind lugging my stuff to practice.

Equipment List:

I play Tama Artstar II's. My usual setup is a single kick/pedal, single rack tom, two floor toms and the snare. As far as cymbals, two crashes and two rides plus high hats.
I prefer a more open drum sound as opposed to the muffled, padded down sound that I hear from almost every drummer.
I do have another kick to setup double bass, I just haven't done it yet. I do plan on it sometime, but for now I have plenty to work on with my single kick setup.
