ABOUT

I've been a student of the electric bass since the age of 10 and continue to present. I was extremely fortunate to study with 2 of the greatest bassist in the world,(Richard Davis from Thad Jones & Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra and Walter Botti bassist NY Philharmonic). I made my living touring for a number of years with a variety of larger high energy show/funk bands including "The Toys". I've done quite a bit of studio work including jingles and Broadway commercial work. Many years playing 6 nighters in So. Florida, NYC/LI and Jersey shore area. I worked as a staff musician for 7 months on Princess Cruises in CA. playing 2 shows nightly. Tuff gig ;-). Bass teacher at the Original "Long Island Drum Center" in Merrick for several years, and several thousand weddings. Can be reached at: rjscollo at outlook dot com.
