About

***I'm currently looking to fill in @ gigs, or join a Blues/Rock band with seasoned, professional, musicians who don't "need" to practice every week. One GIG a month is sufficient for now, ocassionally more is not a problem.***
Bob â??the drummerâ?? Huff (aka: BobZilla) comes from a family of drummers, so you can say itâ??s in his blood. His Grandmother was a professional drummer from age 16 until she retired at age 76â?¦. playing 7 nights a week for many years during the Swing era. Getting his first snare drum at 9 yrs old, he practiced, took lessons, and played in snare drum competitions in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, all through school, landing numerous 1st place trophies. He remained the â??1st chairâ?? drummer through his school years, played in the pep band, marching band, concert band, and orchestra. At age 15 he joined the Toledo Glassmen drum and bugle corp for one season. Bob turned pro at age 16, with the band â??Retrospectâ?? for 3 yrs before joining the US Navy, where he played in the boot camp drum and bugle corp. He has jammed with bands in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, Miami, Jacksonville, Memphis, Dallas, Detroit, and more. Since the new millennium, Bob was the drummer for "Radio Flyer", in Greenville, SC for 3 yrs. After moving to Florida in 2006, he joined "Bleu Voodoo", where he played weekends at clubs and was featured in a video promo for Fox-51 TV, which began air play right after the Superbowl in 2007. After the fallout of Bleu Voodoo in â??09, he met Mark Scott LaMountain, and played gigs with "The Blue Thunder Band", recording their CD "Guitars, Guns, & Southern Women". Most recently, he's playing drums for Jimmy Sparks Blues Band and keeps busy with their grueling schedule. After Jimmy Sparks Band fell apart, I packed up and moved to California. "That's my story and I'm sticking to it."

Influences

Bobâ??s musical influences have been Martha Feltman(Grandmother), Gene Krupa, Ringo Starr, Keith Moon, Neil Peart, Alex VanHalen, and others.
