ABOUT

A songwriter and musician who is seeking similar musicians who are wishing to form an originals-based band to compose and play accessible alternative pop/rock music (with a mix of interpretative covers by other artists). I sing lead and harmony (baritone to tenor), play guitar -- electric, acoustic, and classical; bass; and some keyboards ... I have both recording and gigging equipment.

Influences

My influences are vast. My ultimate group project would be of musicians who are ecclectic and not pigeon-holed into any specific genre of music. From in-your-face to subtle, from sparce to layered -- no musical stone need be not unturned. From 60s/70s classic rock to 90s/current indie pop, from sparse acoustic framing to layed Eno-influenced coloring, from Motown/R&B to traditional classical nuances... it's all part of my music fabric. Bottom line: Melody, song structure, and lyrics are the anchors.

Bands/artists that I relate to well (in no particular order):

Members Of Band

I am very flexible, in that I can play bass and rythme guitar (as well as some keyboards) and sing or harmonize.

I am seeking at least one guitarist (lead, with rhythm being supplementary), a bass player, a drummer/percussionist, a keyboard player (sampler and/or straight keyboards); with possible expansion to multi-talented woodwind and/or brass players; cello/bass violinist ... with all, vocals a plus (especially harmony)
