About

I'm a bassist in need of a new project. I'm classically trained and have a solid grasp of music theory, can read musical notation as well as your every-day lead sheets and pages full of changes.

I started out playing classic jazz (real book stuff), shifted to rock in college, and have run through just about every genre since. I am most comfortable with rock/blues/funk but tend to slide in other influences no matter what I'm playing.

I have reliable transportation and a solid rig (see below for specifics) and am looking for a steadily gigging group, or at the very least one that gets out of the practice space every once in a while. I have a career elsewhere, so I'm not really looking for a group looking to tour nationally or anything big like that. I just like to gig.

Influences

Pino Palladino, Marcus Miller, Larry Graham

Equipment List

Head-
Markbass LittleMark Tube 800 (800W solid state)

Cabs-
Markbass Traveler 102P 2x10 & Markbass Traveler 151P 1x15

Basses-
Fender Marcus Miller Jazz w/custom upgrades, homemade short-scale single coil P bass (tiny, but plays like rolling thunder), & Michael Kelly something or other acoustic for those special occasions when I feel like getting drowned out by the chicken pickers
