ABOUT

I am a very versatile singer. I started singing R&B when I was very young, but when I heard Led Zeppelin for the first time I knew I was going to be a rock singer, and that shaped the aggression into the very soulful style I have as a singer. I would say I am a mix of Anthony Green, Jonny Craig(I started the R&B with rock way before him, and my friend Stephan Hawks did the instrumentals and recorded his first solo album.), Darryl Palumbo from "Glassjaw," Robert Plant, and Cedric from "The Mars Volta." I am looking for a band similar to the style of said singer's bands. I also love He Is Legend( The album "It Hates You" and after, no albums before that.. They became something incredible on "It Hates You."), Thrice, Cave In, Chon, Shelter Red, Tesseract, Deftones, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, and Radio Head.. I want to sing for a band that is both melodic and Ambient that has beautiful parts, driving parts, and Brutal parts.. I have to have a drummer that can play jazz like a hard hitting hardcore drummer(Botch Hardcore, no chugga chugga breakdown hardcore). I know it may sound like I'm this demanding and pretentious singer, but I'm really not. I have just been in a lot of bands, and that has taught what won't and will work.. All the members have to be equally talented at their instrument, and have to have the same desire for style completely! I know that I'm a really good singer, but I am not a diva that thinks singers are what makes a band.. Amazing instrumentalist are much more valuable to me, and I also play guitar and drums.. If you are a band that has songs, experience touring, you absolutely want to play the same style of music, and your looking for the singer to complete your badass band.. You should absolutely get in touch with, and we can conquer the world one song at a time until we have a complete set, and then one show at a time!

Influences

Dead Poetic, Circa Survive, Thrice, Days Away, The receiving End of Sirens, Edison Glass, Old Acceptance("Black Lines to Battlefields"), Versa Emerge, Glass jaw,Dredge,Thrice, Deftones, He is Legend("It Hates You, " and "Heavy Fruit" only. They(He Is Legend), went from an emo screamo band for teeny boppers to a brutal and melodic band that created two masterpieces that both inspire me and make me envious that I didn't write the albums, but hopefully your the band that is looking for a singer to create amazing albums to inspire other musicians! I also love The Mars Volta, Cave In, The Dear Hunter, Pink Floyd, Radio Head, Muse, Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, Led Zeppelin, Hopes Fall("A Types" is their best album; the guitar parts and tones are amazing.) Baroness, Tesseract, Periphery, Chon(would be amazing with killer vocals) Shelter Red(If you have yet to hear them, you absolutely need to find them on be, and do yourself a very big favor by giving yourself eargasms from amazing guitar tone and amazing guitar parts with drums to match! My friend Stephan Hawks who is a recording engineer for Rise Records/Interlace Audio Writes and records all the guitar parts for Shelter Red, for their shows he plays the guitar parts with an ipod through a Vox AC30, and He plays the most intricate and amazing drum parts flawless, because he has absolutely no room for error, and there is a badass bass player that plays live as well. Seriously, listen to them if you haven't yet!) I'm also inspired by The Refused, Rage Against the Machine, Minus the Bear, Kings of Leon, Every Time I Die, Bloc Party, Keane, Failure, Finch("Say Hello to Sunshine" is an amazing album that no one has heard; it's very similar to the "He Is Legend" situation where a teeny bopper band grows up and writes amazing songs for themselves), Further Seems Forever("How to Start a Fire" only), Early "Paramore," Autolux, Hum,Denali, A Perfect Circle. Scatter The Ashes(An amazing band that had one incredible album, and broke up and disappeared after that), Saosin(Anthony Green only, and Circa Survive is way better in my opinion.), Open Hand,

EQUIPMENT

All I have is a mediocre Takamine acoustic guitar, and I don't really like acoustic. I would love a Gibson Les Paul with a Vox AC30, or A Bad Cat Amp with any Gibson electric really.. I love Fender Telecasters and Jazz Masters too. I really dig the Fender Twin Reverb for a clean electric guitar amp with chorus and delay. I love loop stations, The Line 6 DL4 Delay pedal, The Big muff pedal for a great distortion on bass, I love guitar effects pedals! Bogner Amps are awesome, The Orange Rockerverber is a great amp, Fender Hot Rod Deville, Mesa Dual Rectifier(Triple is obnoxious and a waist of watts), I absolutely detest solid state amps to the point where I will not be in a band with a guitarist who has one.. It's all about tubes man, and I would actually love to record live in an analog reel to reel studio with my next band. There is something about the electricity of performing live that cannot be captured by copy and pasting instruments that are individually tracked. I really love to write, if you couldn't tell.
