ABOUT

I started playing guitar when I was 12 or 13 years old. Have played off and on throughout my life. I've been playing drums mainly the last 4-5 years.

A guitarist buddy and I get together about once a week here in Knoxville. We were in a band that broke up and have recently been collaborating with a guy in Louisiana (as The Pedants). We've pretty much maxed out that guy's bandwidth and are looking for local musicians to collaborate with.

We're interested in writing original music and home recording. Gigging is not a priority for me. If it happens, it happens, but I'm in no rush to play a half-assed set for the wives and girlfriends of the musicians on the bill that night.

Vocals and songwriting are the biggest qualities we're looking for. A bass player would be great, but we're open to another guitarist or keyboards or whatever... We're willing and able (to a degree) to rotate instruments as necessary. Mixing in instrumentation other than the traditional rock band instruments would be cool too.

My guitarist buddy's influences run along the lines of Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, The Toadies, Nirvana, 70's garage rock, and classic rock.
