About
I recently moved to Los Angeles to work as a Psychiatry resident. I've been playing in bands since high school and would like to continue that here. I'm down to either join an established band or start something new. I'm always playing around with different riffs and chord progressions, but don't expect me to be the main song writer as I'm not great at structuring songs. Also, because of the time constraints of working at a hospital, I won't be able to play outside of California.
I've been playing guitar for 10 years. I played in a funk/latin/reggae/rock band in undergrad. I played in a cover band in med school that played everything from AC/DC to Black Keys to Jackson 5 to Kanye to Katy Perry to Earth Wind and Fire. Most of the stuff I've been writing lately tends to be bluesy and funky or slow and depressing. But I'm down to play pretty much any genre.
I'm also a competent bassist and drummer, and have filled in on both instruments for my friends' bands in the past.
For reference, the first demo in the music player is just a song idea I'm playing around with. The other 2 are some random jam sessions with the drummer and keyboardist that I used to play with. I have more demos and a completed song on my SoundCloud (link below). I play all of the instruments and vocals on those recordings.
