I play a wide variety of eclectic acoustic guitar-based material (including original) and am looking for one or two musicians with whom to work on a recreational and hopefully professional basis in the Huntersville area. Ideally, it would be nice to find some musicians who live nearby so that we could spend more time together and develop friendships. I do not smoke, so please be considerate.

Control (Remotely)
Control (Remotely) Year: 2008 Genre: Classic Rock
Sometimes my life is so complicated Far from my dreams many times I have debated Pullin' up roots headin' out for the wilderness Where I won't need a cell phone or even a mailing address Paperwork, paperwork always paperwork Pilin' up around me til' I'm just about to go berzerk It seems like everybody's out to get a piece of my humble pie It's either "tow the line, make-it-or-break-it, do-or-die" I live just to get to the end of the week Where there's only one refuge I can seek After boltin' the door and settin' the alarm I finally feel safe in my lover's arms. Turn on the flat screen begin the devolution I'm sucked into the cesspool of obnoxious commercial pollution Who's drivin' this runaway freight train rumblin' thru my brain It's got me scrambling to find cover again Hackers, attackers, hi-jackers and ransackers Identity thieves they're a bunch of no-good slackers I'd really like to tie 'em all up hit the button and delete 'em There doesn't seem to be a way in this world that I can defeat 'em So I log off, shut down, disconnect Or hit the mute button I need to reflect I feel so helpless, go ahead and quote me... I got no control, not even remotely

This Banker Town
This Banker Town Year: 2008 Genre: Blues
I came to this town in 1993 From South Carolina a place by the sea I'd longed for the hills and the fresh water lake Not knowing the turns my life would soon take If you want to live the high life in this banker town There's the Corner Pub walk in and sit yourself down After a round or two of stout Irish ale Your longings for the fine life will start to fail From the kingly estates over in Ballentyne To Myer's Park mansions so stately and fine You'll find yourself driving and wondering why You can't find your way it's such a far cry From the fine life there's got to be more Than slaving for wages from seven 'til four And getting so drunk that you can't find the door Oh there's got to be more From the sunny homes up on Norman's Lake To the beautiful peninsula at Tega Cay Who knows why fortune never smiled on me I just couldn't count on my family tree In this banker town I feel so out of place Blue shirts, khakis a dreary rat race Another new arena and less green space For the sake of investment, there's no saving grace One consolation, I'll just have to say I've met some fine people along the way I never thought I'd find myself settling down To a life scraping by in this banker town
